Benjamin Moore's "Color Stories" Collection Matches- To enjoy these colors in any product & on an exterior!
Let me just start by saying, I LOVE Benjamin Moore's "Color Stories" collection. They are full-spectrum paint colors that are clear, rich, and vibrant. I sometimes like to describe these colors as iridescent because they change so frequently during different times of the day and through various light sources. Every color is complex and adds a sort of dimension to paint that I promise you've never seen before!
So how are full spectrum colors formulated differently & why are they so special?
While most paint colors are formulated using three pigments, full spectrum colors are formulated by mixing 5-7 pigments & most importantly they do not use black or gray colorants. This helps create more subtle colors, while also being highly saturated and rich.
Why did I find matches for this collection?
Because these colors are formulated so specially, they can only be made in one product, which is Aura. Now this is definitely BM's top of the line paint (and I highly recommend this paint product), however not every job necessarily needs top of the line paint. Many painters, contractors, & DIY's like to work with other products from BM. For this reason, I found it very useful to choose colors from the other collections that matched the CSP (color stories) colors but also could be used in ANY product from Benjamin Moore.
The other very important reason for doing these matches is because CSP colors can only be made for interior paint. It is often that people fall in love with a CSP color for their exterior only to find out that they cannot have that color.
